As a TMBC councillor, Vivian represents Castle Ward in Tonbridge alongside Karen King.
Vivian was brought up in Sevenoaks and went to local schools. When she retired she moved to Tonbridge and was elected to TMBC. She is Cabinet member for Economic Regeneration.
"When I retired in 2006 I came to live in Tonbridge and was elected as one of your Borough Councillors in 2007. I have been a member of the Jane Austen Society for many years so the Tonbridge links to her family particularly interest me. I really enjoy being part of the community and Castle Ward where we are lucky enough to have lots of open space. I walk around part of the ward every day as I have an energetic dog and into Tonbridge to do my shopping (I usually have a litter picker on hand!) I was instrumental in securing Roadside Nature Reserve status for the triangle of land south of Manor House which, as one of the entrances to Tonbridge, is a really important site. I will continue working for Tonbridge and Castle Ward to ensure it is a wonderful place for everyone to live and do business."
