"This evening I have written to the Councillor responsible for Highways & Transport at Kent County Council (KCC), Cllr David Brazier, ahead of their Scrutiny meeting tomorrow to stress the unacceptable situation facing many parents and children ahead of schools returning in September. You can read my letter below.
"Over recent weeks we have seen confusion and concern as to which services will be in operation in just a few weeks time. This affects not only school bus routes but also routes that are relied upon by many of us.
"I understand that not all of these decision have been taken by Kent County Council, however, as has been evident in some particular circumstances, KCC has the power to work with local operators to save some of these routes.
"I will be speaking to the Leader of Kent County Council tomorrow morning to further stress my concerns in regards to this and will gladly update everybody further once this call has taken place."
